Vietnam’s shoe and leathergoods exports jump in September

In September, Vietnam exported shoes worth $600 million, 25% more than in the same month last year, according to the country's General Statistics Office.

Its leathergoods exports were worth $140 million, 21% higher than in September 2012.

For the first nine months of the year, shoe exports totalled $6.17 billion and leathergoods totalled $1.4 billion, compared with $5.3 a billion and $1.1 billion for the same period last year.
