The Indian Council for Leather Exports (CLE) is organising a two-day leather show in Spain next March as it aims to increase exports to the country following a recent decline.

According to the CLE, Spain is the 10th largest importer of leather and leather products in the world.

India’s exports of leather and leather products to Spain increased from $216 million in 2007 to $296 million in 2011. However, during the financial year 2012-13, exports declined to $267 million, reflecting the recession.
