New leathergoods brand captures the essence of Chicago
Leathergoods brand Tola launched in Chicago on October 1. The company will sell a range of luxury leather items that have been designed, hand-cut, hand-sewn and hand-stitched at its Chicago showroom in Logan Square.
Made from Italian and Brazilian leather, the accessory collection includes handbags, guitar straps, smartphone holders, wallets, cardholders and coasters. Each item is available in a variety of colours and textures including python and crocodile patterns, hair-on-hide styles and magenta, tangerine and indigo leather shades.
Laurie Roberts, president and founding partner of Tola, said: "Many of the accessories from the line have been named after Chicago streets, neighbourhoods and landmarks the Damen, the Roscoe, the McKinley, the Gramercy.
"We wanted to harness the mood and vibe that these classic Chicago places have, and channel their diverse energy into each of our fashion pieces."
Tola’s leathergoods line featured at various trade shows and events over the summer, including the Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market in Atlanta, Georgia, in July and WWD Magic in Las Vegas, Nevada, in August.
