New leather cutter from Zund at Simac

30/09/2013
Swiss machinery group Zund Systemtechnik is to launch a new leather-cutting system, the Zünd L3, at SIMAC in Bologna, Italy.

The new cutter combines smart motion control, precise drive system and finely tuned cutting technology. The aluminum working area is positioned at a 10 degree angle to facilitate loading and unloading.

A stepless, adjustable, energy-efficient vacuum generator and individually controllable vacuum zones create optimal material hold-down.

The L3 is designed for non-stop production: cutting/processing and loading/unloading occur concurrently. A green LED light indicates which area can be safely accessed for unloading and reloading, while production continues on the other side.

Simac takes place from October 8 to 10.
