Substantial rise in visitors to Le Cuir

French leather trade show Le Cuir a Paris enjoyed a substantial rise in visitor numbers, which were up 21.5% over last year, at its most recent edition, as well as hosting 8% more exhibitors.

About 17,000 professionals from the leather industry visited the 450 stands at the three day show, which took place from September 17 to 19.

French buyers rose 20.5%; Italians increased 17%. Those from Holland grew 47% while visitors from Asia rose 17%.

The show, organised by the French national leather council, Le Conseil National du Cuir, and supported by the French the leather industry, was inaugurated by Arnaud Montebourg, the Minister for Industrial Renewal.
