Indian tanners to try their luck in Iran

18/09/2013
India’s Council for Leather Exports (CLE) has announced that a trade delegation of tanners and other representatives of the leather industry will visit Iran from October 21-23.

According to CLE, Iran is a potentially rich source of raw materials for leather and, perhaps, a good market for finished leather from India. Another possibility is that Indian tanners will find partners in Iran for the supply of wet blue and crust, as well as of raw hides and skins, while Indian finished product manufacturers may be able to source finished leather from Iranian tanners.
