Bentley launches limited-edition handbag collection
23/08/2013
Bentley says the bags reflect the values of the company’s cars, with “an exquisite design aesthetic, highly skilled craftsmanship, attention to detail and dynamic performance”.
Dr Ariane Reinhart, the brand’s human resources director, said at the time of the launch that she hoped the bags would help introduce more women to Bentley and attract new female customers.
Head of product design, Daniele Ceccomori, worked closely with luxury leather bag designer and expert craftsman Vincent du Sartel to bring to life “a wholly feminine interpretation of Bentley’s design concepts”, with strong links to some of the key features in the cars.
Only 160 bags have been made, in two models, the Continental and the Barnato, and four colour combinations. They will be available from October, with more likely to come onto the market next year. The Contintal costs £3,800 and the Barnato £4,800.
