First lady visits tannery in Peru

As part of a wider tour of the industrial district, which she made with the ministers of development and social inclusion, the environment and production, Ms Heredia visited the tannery run by a local company called La Piel.
She praised the Peruvian people for their propensity for hard work and their optimism. “All of us, national, regional and local governments, as well as the private sector, have to commit to keep fighting for development,” she said.
