Bottega Veneta furniture will go on sale from September

Bottega Veneta has partnered with high-end Italian furniture manufacturer Poltrona Frau to create a new leather furniture collection.

Advance components of the collection went on show at the Milan Furniture Fair in April but the leather and suede sofas, tables and other elements will go on sale in Bottega Veneta stores from September.

The brand’s creative director, Thomas Maier, has explained that the collection came about because he could not find the furniture he wanted to use in the interior design of Bottega Venta stores, and so commissioned bespoke pieces.

In time, customers asked if they could buy the furniture and the idea for a commercial Bottega Veneta collection was born.
