Danese announces new developments in vibration-staker conveyor belts
25/07/2013
Traditionally, modern vibration-stakers are fitted with standard light Lycra conveyor belts. As the application of vibration staking has been spreading, requiring more specialised and robust belts, Danese has responded to the need for appropriate equipment with the tubular belt it brought to the market two years ago. This type of belt is ideal when splits are staked and also in the staking of finished leathers where the absence of horizontal stitching in the belt is vital in the final softening, the company has said.
Its latest offering is the NXT belt, a development of the standard version. The easy fitting quality of the Tubular is retained, but the use of nanotechnology has made it possible for Danese to put rubber coating on the inside resulting in greater stability, higher tear resistance and reduced surface slipperiness. The company has said the new belt is best suited to crust and heavy dry-staking duty, while it recommends the XTRM textile belt for use in wet-staking operations.
