Eleven workers at a tannery in Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil escaped injury when the bus they were travelling in was involved in a head-on collision.

The bus left the road near Sapiranga and was left hanging over the edge of a viaduct. A taxi travelling in the opposite direction crossed into the wrong lane of the road and hit the bus head on.

Police said the taxi driver was critically injured while four passengers on the bus were left with minor injuries.
