Clariant announces ACLE plan

Chemicals company Clariant has announced its stand at the All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) in September will be marketed under "More than meets the eye – Sustainable Innovations in Leather”, and will focus on applications for the automotive, furniture, and shoes and fashion segments.

It said highlights will include anti-soiling and waterproofing agents, a new generation of retanning syntans mainly based on renewable raw materials, upgrading technology, and colours and pigments.

Oliver Kinkel, head of Clariant’s leather services business unit, said: “Our solutions for leather manufacturing offer reliability, high-level functionality, improved ecological profiles and support creativity to help customers gain a sought-after competitive edge that can raise their earning potential.”

The ACLE will take place in Shanghai between September 4 and 6.
