May proves a good month for Pakistani leather

Exports from the Pakistan leather industry for May 2013 were 11.5% higher in value than the corresponding figure for April 2013. May’s total was $113.8 million.

The value of finished leather exports was $58.3 million, while leathergoods brought in export revenues for the month of $45.7 million. Exports of leather footwear in May had a value of $9.8 million, increases of 6.7%, 8.9% and 78.6% respectively compared to April’s figures.
