Zschimmer & Schwarz prepares combinations for ACLE

A special highlight at this year’s show, the company has said, will be “synergies of suitable product combinations” on all soft leather types.
Examples include Tafigal P, which Zschimmer & Schwarz says can increase the cutting area of hides. It’s a protein filler, with a chemical nature close to the natural structure of collagen. Best for use in chrome tanning or in re-chroming, it helps tanners keep leather “soft, full, round and supple”, the company said.
Contripon 1499, a special auxiliary developed to improve softness, strength and to avoid unpleasant smell in chrome and non-chrome leathers, will also feature, as will Novaltan PW-N, a dispersing agent for fast distribution and penetration of anionic products in the retanning process.
Finally, Syncurol LMI MOD, a fatliquoring agent mainly designed for all bovine and ovine articles, in particular for all outstanding soft leather types with smooth grain and pleasant touch, will also be part of the Zschimmer & Schwarz presentation in Shanghai. “Exhaustion is excellent with very low COD figures,” it said of the product, “and thanks to the firm fixation to the leather fibre, it boasts a low extractability.”
