Fire destroys leather chemicals factory near Vicenza

Fire broke out a factory run in the town of Monticello Conte Otto in the province of Vicenza in northern Italy by leather chemicals manufacturer Veco SRL. Veco specialises in finishing chemicals.

No one was hurt in the incident, but one of Veco’s directors, Cecilia Caldognetto, was quoted in local media as saying: “We were due to celebrate our fortieth anniversary this year. We have been running for 40 years without any incidents whatsoever. I just can’t believe this has happened now.”
