CICB announces second Sustainability Forum

Brazil’s tanning industry association CICB has announced August 28 as the date of its 2013 Sustainability Forum. The event, the second such forum CICB has organised, will take place in Novo Hamburgo.

CICB’s Sustainability Forum is an international event and the association has said “world-renowned experts” will take be there to present and discuss “the newest ideas, concepts and sustainable practises to the entire tannery chain”.

It will take place at the Fenac exhibition centre on the afternoon of August 28, the middle day of the Courovisão exhibition.

One of the presenters will be Milan-based consultant Federico Brugnoli, who in 2012 produced a technical report for the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation on the carbon footprint of leather.
