More Rolls-Royce customers say yes to personalised interiors
15/05/2013
Nearly every Rolls-Royce Phantom and almost three in four Rolls-Royce Ghosts sold around the world are now being commissioned with what the company calls “bespoke personalisation”. It says this demand for its “tailoring service” has helped drive three consecutive record sales years.
In the first quarter of 2013, nearly every Phantom and Ghost model commissioned in Europe was specified with bespoke design, and the figures for customers in the Middle East registered 100% for the Phanton and 99% for the Ghost.
In North America, 95% of Phantom models were built with a personalised bespoke element in the first three months of this year, compared to 30% in that market in 2005. The figure for Ghost customers is lower at 66%.
The figures for Asia, including China, are lower, at 83% for the Phantom and 48% for the Ghost.
Across all markets, bespoke has grown from an option taken up by 50% of Phantom customers in 2005 to 90% today, while the proportion of Ghost customers taking this option has increased from 56% in 2011 to 70% in the first quarter of 2013.
