Tesco in talks with Ethiopian footwear firms

The communications director of the Ethiopian Leather Industry Development Institute, Berhanu Serjebo, told news agency Walta Information Center that negotiations were under way with Tikur, Abay, Peacock and Anbessa.
He said this would go some way towards the leather sector hitting the $500 million annual target set by the government in its five-year ‘growth and transformation plan’.
