Tannery of the Year regional winner supports football initiative

As a foretaste of the FIFA World Cup in 2014, host-country Brazil is staging the smaller Confederations Cup tournament in June, featuring predominantly the most recent winners of continental football tournaments across the world.

The Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) is lending its support to the Confederations Cup and will use the occasion to promote the Brazilian leather industry to an international audience. Goiás-based tannery Coming Indústria e Comércio de Couros will play a prominent role in this.

Coming, Tannery of the Year for the Americas in 2011, has invited a small number of VIP guests from Italy and the US to travel to Brazil and attend the Confederations Cup, while also supporting CICB promotional initiatives in between matches.

“This is a way of bringing people together and strengthening relationships,” CICB said on announcing the development.
