Chinese export values pick up in April

Official figures suggest China’s overseas trade growth picked up in April, rising by 15.7% compared to the same month in 2012, which represents higher growth than in any month (oustside January and February, when figures are distorted by the changing dates of the Chinese New year) since November 2011.

Exports for April had a value of almost $187.1 billion overall.
