The eighth Indonesian Leather and Footwear (ILF) exhibition took place in Jakarta at the start of May. The event showcased technology, materials, machinery and services for leather and footwear production.

Companies from China, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Thailand, Japan, Pakistan and Taiwan took part alongside local players.

Industry observers said exhibitors from the footwear industry, either footwear manufacturers or footwear machinery manufacturers, dominated, with fewer tanners taking part compared to previous editions of the event.
