High-end leathergoods company Hermès is selling a t-shirt which is being touted as the most expensive in the world, made entirely from crocodile skin.

It has a price tag of $91,500, and is on sale at the Hermès store on New York's Madison Avenue.

The design appeared on the catwalk for the French brand’s spring-summer 2013 menswear collection.

Last month, luxury group Kering, which owns brands such as Gucci and Bottega Veneta, bought France Croco, a crocodile tannery based in France.
