Jinjiang reports 40% rise in Q1 footwear exports

The value of shoe exports from Jinjiang in China’s Fujian Province rose 40% in the first quarter, according to the China Leather Industry Association, reaching $390 million.

Shoe manufacturers suggested they can maintain their production until September with current orders.

Many are planning to expand production, according to the association, as orders increase. After a dip orders last year, they are back up to 2011 levels.
