Thirty-five Brazilian tanneries at APLF

25/03/2013
With the support of the Brazilian Leather project, a joint-initiative between the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), 35 companies are representing the country at APLF 2013, which takes place in Hong Kong between March 25 and March 27.

In a statement in the build-up to the exhibition, CICB said this sizeable Brazilian presence at the show was a tribute to the importance of the Asian market in general, and of Hong Kong and China in particular to the Brazilian tanning industry at the moment.

The organisation said that, together, China and Hong Kong already constitute the biggest export market for Brazilian leather; CICB’s hope is that a new sales and marketing strategy, which it has already launched, will help Brazilian tanners secure an even larger share of the same market.
