Tannery of the Year: finalists announced for Asia excluding China

The third programme of the Tannery of the Year competition, launched by World Leather in 2009 to help the global tanning sector raise its profile, is nearly complete; the final will take place in Hong Kong with presentations to the independent juding panel, followed by a spectacular gala dinner and presentation ceremony on March 25.

Asia excluding China is the last of five regions around the world for which the finalists have emerged. The two finalists for the region are Midori Hokuyo from Japan and Royal Leather Industries from Pakistan.

Detailed reports on both tanneries appear in the February-March issue of World Leather.

Updates on all the finalists will appear in the course of next week on leatherbiz in the build-up to the final.
