The company will also focus on overseas markets such as China, which performed well last year, to reduce reliance on its home market of Italy.
An analyst at brokerage Exane BNP Paribas told Bloomberg the plan was to become more profitable like Hermes.
CEO Diego Della Valle and his family own 57% of Tod’s, which also creates products under the Hogan, Fay and Roger Vivier footwear and fashion brands.
Sales for Tod’s Group in the year to December 31, 2012, totalled EUR 963.1 million.
French leathergoods group Hermes saw a 16.4% rise sales for 2012, with revenues of EUR 3.48 billion.
