New leather production centre for Hunan Province

The authorities in Hunan Province in China have announced plans to set up a new leather production centre in the city of Xiangxiang.

Deputy mayor, Zhong Xingwang, said recently that the city would spare no effort in completing the project before the end of 2013.

Current plans are to set up a tannery with a capacity to process 15 million hides per year as well as finished products, such as gloves.
