Clariant launches pair of leather waxes for vintage effects

Melio Wax W-01 is a special wax in aqueous dispersion. It is designed to create the “white wax” effect on full-grain crust, buffed leathers and finished leathers.
The product can also be used as a top effect such as a brush-off, alone or in combination with
pigment or aniline dyestuff. When used in base coats, Melio Wax W-01 improves filling and plate release, according to the company.
Melio Wax 145 is a medium hard wax in an aqueous dispersion. A highly versatile, VOC-free product, it can be used alone as a single coat or in combination with other products to achieve a wide range of pull-up leathers. It has improved penetration properties and is suited to both corrected and
full-grain leathers. It can also be used as a pre-ground for Crazy Horse leathers as well as for strengthening aqueous pull-up leathers or antique effects.
