Production costs will eat into profits, CLIA president predicts

01/03/2013
The president of the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA), Su Chaoying, has said he expects sales growth of around 10% in the first half of this year for companies in the leather sector.

However, Mr Su warned that companies are likely to see a much lower growth in profits owing to continuing decline in overseas orders and ongoing increases in production costs in China.
