SATRA offers technical footwear seminars

Specialist leather and footwear research and testing organisation SATRA is running a series of technical seminars in its China office in Dongguan in March.

The first seminar, on March 19, is ‘Taking the risk out of footwear’ and is for SATRA members only.

Customer complaints and returns can be costly and a failure to comply with product safety legislation can result in damage to a company’s reputation or legal action. The seminar will advise on ensuring products are safe and fit for purpose and will cover product risk assessments; leather use in manufacture and grading; heel attachment; sole bonding; slip and safety assessment; and avoiding consumer complaints.

The second event, on March 20, is open to members and non-members and will focus on European safety footwear testing and personal protective equipment.
