Coach exec joins the Jones Group to boost footwear sales
Fashion conglomerate The Jones Group has appointed a former Coach executive to the newly created position of senior vice-president of merchandising of Nine West, effective immediately.

Joseph Stafiniak will report to Kathy Nedoroste, group president of global footwear and accessories, who joined the company in September.

Mr Stafiniak will partner with all of the brand's business units – which include footwear companies Kurt Geiger, Stuart Weitzman, Brian Atwood, Carvela and Miss KG – to drive product assortment, brand messaging and merchandising.

"Nine West is the ultimate resource for women seeking great footwear of all styles, and we remain focused on continuing to grow the business and further expanding our product offerings through the addition of exceptional talent like Joseph," said Ms Nedorostek.

Mr Stafiniak added: "Nine West is a highly respected brand with terrific recognition among consumers and tremendous growth potential worldwide in footwear and all accessory categories."

Stafiniak served as senior vice-president of licensed categories and vice-president general manager of footwear at Coach. Prior to that, he held senior merchandising and design roles with Ralph Lauren Footwear, Giorgio Armani and cK Calvin Klein.
