Louvre museum to be clad in leather

The floor of the Louvre, the world-renowned French museum, is to be clad in leather tiles made by a Canadian company.

The new design is currently under construction in Abu Dhabi, and will also feature Blackstock Leather's tiles on portions of its walls.

For the seating area, the designers have specified matching upholstery leathers, also from Blackstock.

Blackstock Leather is a family owned company based in Toronto, with a sister company in Europe. Last year it worked on a superyacht project, cladding the walls of a bar area, after the owner had used the feature in his home.
