The China Leather Industry Association (CLIA) has said that exports of leather garments from the country dropped by 13.5% in volume and by 8.4% in value in the first 11 months of last year, compared to the same period in 2011.
In the January-November 2012 period, Chinese manufacturers shipped almost 11.1 million pieces of leather clothing to export markets.
These garments had a value of $580 million.
