China exports less semi-finished leather

Exports of crust and wet blue from Chinese tanneries look set to register a considerable decline for 2012.

Figures for the first 11 months of last year show a decline of 16% in terms of volume and 7.3% in value in exports of semi-finished leather. Tanners earned $28.5 million from these exports over the 11-month period.
