Carmaker BMW has said it expects to sell one million cars in China over the next three years and forecasts double digit growth in sales.

Its China sales grew 35% from January to October - five times the growth rate of the overall market.

The German group is building a second plant in northeast China to initially double its capacity to 200,000 vehicles, later rising to 300,000.

Earlier this month it announced that it would add 300 jobs in its research and development department in China.
