New tannery opens in Fuxin

A new tannery has formally opened in Fuxin in Liaoning province, China. A special ceremony took place at the new facility, the Aodeli Tannery, on November 15.

Specialising in making automotive upholstery and in processing sheepskin, the tannery aims to employ more than 1,000 people when it reaches full capacity.

The authorities in
Liaoning have set up a dedicated leather cluster in Fuxin and 20 tanneries are already making leather there, with a further 23 aiming to start production in the course of 2013.
