Karl Lagerfeld presents exhibition of Rolls-Royce photographs

Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld visited the home of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Goodwood in the south of England in mid-November to present an exhibition of a series of photographs he has taken of different models of the luxury cars.

Entitled ‘A Different View’, the exhibition was the latest in a series of art events the automotive brand has run throughout 2012, called the Icons of Art series, in tribute to “the impeccable artistry behind each Rolls-Royce motor car”.

Karl Lagerfeld’s photographs explore “a fascination with textures, surfaces, shapes and abstractions that transcend his highly acclaimed position in the fashion world”, Rolls-Royce said after the event. Chief executive,Torsten Müller-Ötvös, said: “It is a great honour to welcome Karl Lagerfeld and to host this unique photographic exhibition. His inspirational work demonstrates passion, innovation and attention to detail, values that we embrace every day at Rolls-Royce.”
