JBS brings Cascavel tannery fully on board

Brazilian packer and tanning group JBS has confirmed that it has incorporated its Cascavel Couros subsidiary into the group. The move is for tax efficiency reasons; no change of ownership has taken place.

“Cascavel Couros runs one of the most up-to-date leather processing pants in Brazil,” JBS said on making the announcement.

The tannery is in the town of Cascavel, in an inland area of the northern state of Ceara. Its clients include prominent automotive and fashion brands, as well as furniture manufacturers.
