China exports $18 billion of bags in first nine months

The total value of travel luggage and bags exported from China in the first nine months of the year rose 5.5% to $18.1 billion, according to figures published by the China Leather Industry Association

However, this was 31% less than the growth rate in previous year.

The average price of the exported bags grew 30% to $12.6 each.

During the period, the value of imported of bags grew 16.1% to $1.1 billion, although this was reported as being a 37% slowdown compared with the growth rate the previous year.
