New fatliquor range from Silvateam

22/10/2012
Specialist leather chemicals manufacturer Silvateam launched a new range of fatliquors at the 2012 edition of Tanning Tech in Bologna (October 9-11). The company has said the new products are suitable for all stages of the wet-end process.

Kurtalicker 805 is a fully synthetic fatliquor, free from fish oil. It gives leather good softness and fullness, Silvateam claims, and shows high heat and light fastness properties compared with fish oil-based products. Kurtalicker
902 consists of natural and synthetic sulphited oils with good penetrating characteristics and a soft, pleasant touch. It can be used in any kind of chrome, vegetable or mixed tanned leathers.

Kurtalicker 1155 is a fatliquor based on natural phosphated lipids and synthetic compounds. It gives leather a good softness and a low specific weight. The manufacturer says it is especially suited to soft nappa, garment and glove leathers.

For its part, Sintoil 88 is a sulphated fatliquor that can be used as a base product in the production of any kind of chrome or vegetable tanned leathers, imparting good softness without affecting the dyeing process, while Keusol LA is made from lanolin and synthetic oils, giving it good softening and filling properties; it gives leather a slightly greasy touch, gives a good shine when polished and increases grain resistance.

Also in the new collection, Kurtalicker RMZ
is a fatliquor based on natural and synthetic sulphited oils especially developed for soft leathers with good penetrating characteristics and a pleasant touch. Kurtalicker RMZ is suitable for the production of upholstery leathers, either full grain or split, imparting excellent softness coupled with fast exhaustion of the liquor without giving looseness problems to the grain.

And finally, Kurtalicker
815 combines natural and synthetic sulphited oils and can be used in any kind of chrome, vegetable or mixed tanned leathers, where it imparts good softness and a pleasant touch to the leather.
