Turkish leather apparel success in China will continue

Following the news that Chinese leather apparel brand Kaiyoun has successfully outsourced manufacture of its higher-end garments to Turkish manufacturers, the president of the Turkish Leather Garment Producers Association, Mehmetali Dinc, has said his member companies will achieve exports of $100 million to China by the end of 2013.

In comments to Turkish media, Mr Dinc said the breakthrough into the Chinese market had come in the last two years and that the greatest demand was for leather apparel made from lamb and sheep nappa and lamb double-face.
