Gruppo Mastrotto shows AW 13-14 trends at Lineapelle

It has identified four main themes for its trends for that season.
Surrealist Vision takes its inspiration from Gothic surrealism, with a pallet dominated by “cold colours”, ranging from “extreme black” to taupe-grey.
Next is 60s Fantasy, a line that relaunches the idea of comining colours with geometrical shapes, vintage styles and a return to Brit Pop.
The third theme is Futuristic Nature, which shows a trend towards high-tech, with colours that reflect an icy winter.
Fourth and last, Very Eccentric is all about leather that “wants to attract attention”, with colours that take on “intense and lively nuances”.
Dominant colours across the range included brown tones with shades of red and orange, and a wide range of greens and blues. In terms of effects, Gruppo Mastrotto presented what it called “sophisticated touches of luminosity” in crochet-style prints, reptile effects and woven effects stamped onto hides. Smoky metallic effects also give “touches of personality” to the group’s leathers.
Something else Gruppo Mastrotto launched at Lineapelle in October was a new service to let clients choose hides from a catalogue of 300 colours, with the promise of delivery to anywhere in the world within 48 hours.
