Leather growth for Vietnam

Vietnam’s total exports are projected to reach $83.8 billion for the first nine months of 2012. The share in this of leather and leather products is estimated at $6.3 billion.

This figure represents growth of 11.1% compared to the figure the leather industry achieved in the January-September period in 2011.

The country exported leather footwear worth $5.2 billion and leathergoods worth $1.1 billion in the first three quarters of 2012.
