CLE plans Indian leather show in France

India’s Council for Leather Exports (CLE) has announced that an Indian Leather Show in Paris, originally scheduled for September 2012, will now take place on February 28 and March 1, 2013.

The organisation said it had timed the Paris event to allow Indian manufacturers of leather and leathergoods to travel to Europe just before the Mipel fair in Milan (March 3-6) and take part in both.

India's exports of leather and leathergoods to France increased in value from $143.7 million in financial year 2005-06 to $271.9 million in 2010-11, growing at
an average rate of 13.6% per year.
