Specialist in automatic stacking machinery Tanmac will have a new stacker, the Butterfly, on show at Tanning Tech 2012 in Bologna (October 9-11). Tanmac believes the Butterfly will help tanners solve the problem of being able to stack hides onto a horse without creating folds or creases.

The two automatic wings of the Butterfly stacker drive the hide onto the horse simulating the hands of operators, the company says. In this way the hide reaches the horse flat, without any of the harmful creases that can occur with the traditional stackers.
