Specialist Icelandic fish leather tannery Atlantic Leather has announced that it has signed up to have UK-based BLC Leather Technology Centre carry out testing of its products to make sure they are in keeping with regulations such as REACH.

Meeting strict requirements is nothing new for the company, Atlantic Leather said on making the announcement. It said: “We are accustomed to working for exacting clients in the international arena. Now we have taken matters of quality to a whole new level by affiliating ourselves with BLC. So we will be riding on a wave of self-confidence when we arrive at Le Cuir a` Paris on September 19.”

The Icelandic company said it would have a new range on show at the exhibition, which runs until September 21, but said it was keeping the details secret.
