Smythson sets out stall for fivefold growth

Its chief executive, Andy Janowski, told the Financial Times: “We have all the necessary elements to become enormously strong and powerful. I don’t think there is another opportunity like this in the world.”
The company marked its ambitions with a party during London Fashion Week to celebrate its 125th anniversary and the reopening of its flagship store, which has doubled in size. It aims to grow its store network from the current 12 to between 40 and 50 in the next five years and revenues from £33 million to $150 million.
