Libya supports tannery project in Sudan

Libya is helping to establish a slaughterhouse and tannery in Sudan, flying over a plane full of equipment this week, according to the Sudan News Agency (SUNA).

A source told SUNA that the modern tannery would support the shoe and leather industries in the country, creating jobs and investment, and that building work would commence in the coming days.

The North Kordofan State, where the slaughterhouse and tannery will be located, has exported live animals to Libya over the past two months, it was reported.
