ACLE opens in Shanghai

The All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) opened in Shanghai on September 4, co-located with the smaller China International Footwear Fair and Moda Shanghai.

A total of 1,301 companies travelled to China to exhibit at the three fairs this year, 10% more than last year. Exhibiting companies at ACLE are drawn from 41 countries and regions, 21 one of them occupying a spot in national or regional pavilions, including new pavilions for India (with 20 exhibitors showing mostly leather garments) and Thailand (with six leathergoods producers). There are around 50 Italian exhibitors showing machinery, chemicals and a diverse range of semi- and finished leathers.

Turkey has the status of ‘focus country’ for 2012. With the aid of the Aegean Exporters Association Turkey, around 60 exhibitors from Turkey took part, 19 of them for the first time at ACLE.
