Lineapelle Trends Selection event takes place in New York

High-end Italian tanners travelled to New York City at the end of August to present the leather textures and colours they believe will be in demand among fashion buyers for the autumn-winter 2013-2014 season.

The organisers of the Lineapelle exhibition, which takes place twice a year in Bologna, arrange for US buyers to see a preview of the leathers at an event called Trend Selection, which it hosts at the plus Metropolitan Pavilion venue in Manhattan. The latest Trend Selection took place on August 29 and 30.

One of the Italian tanners that took part, Gruppo Mastrotto, said afterwards that it had used Trend Selection as an opportunity to showcase its latest ideas for full grain and split suede to stylists and designers from the US.
